Chronic Pain Can be Debilitating Yet the Impact Ignored

Chronic pain persists despite the fact that an injury has healed.  Pain signals remain active in the nervous system for weeks, months, or years and can impact on a persons life more than the initial injury.

Physical effects include tense muscles, limited ability to walk, a lack of energy, and changes in appetite.

Emotional effects include depression, anger, anxiety, and fear of re-injury.

Does the scheme you are in eg. Workers Compensation understand the impact?
